Wek'eezhii Land and Water Board

The Wek’èezhìi Land and Water Board is pleased to announce that it has begun operations. On February 4th, 2006, the Board became a decision making body, with responsibilities for land-use permitting and water licensing in Wek’èezhìi.   (See the map)
   The Board’s authority comes from the Tlîchô Land Claim and Self-Government Agreement and recent amendments to the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act.
